The primary purpose of this study was to obtain baseline information from Gulf of Mexico recreational anglers about reef fishing behavior, awareness of barotrauma, and best fishing practices. This report contains the results from the first of a two-part series of surveys that will be conducted for the Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission (GSMFC) in 2021 and 2024.
Return ‘Em Right Program Report 2022
Return ‘Em Right is a DWH-funded restoration program focused on reducing post-release mortality of recreational reef fish suffering from barotrauma. This annual report covers various aspects of the Return ‘Em Right Program with summary level information, reports, and metrics from the various initiatives of the program from 2022.
