Welcome! This
homepage is dedicated to providing the most complete source for
scientific information on the gulf menhaden population. The
information included within reflects the most current scientific data available
on both the fish and the fishery. The Gulf States Marine
Fisheries Commission has worked hand-in-hand with the National
Marine Fisheries Service, the five Gulf States (Florida, Alabama,
Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas), and the menhaden industry for
many years to monitor the gulf menhaden stocks and is confident in
the assessments provided here. If you have any questions
regarding this information, please feel free to contact us here at
the Commission office.
